In the September 15th newsletter, I showed the regular one and one-half month cycle, on average, that can be found in the S&P 500. If the S&P was going to stick with the pattern, then a short-term cycle low was likely in two to three weeks.
On Thursday, the S&P 500 formed a possible reversal pattern, and on Friday it solidified it with a 1.1% gain on above-average volume. Right on schedule, it looks like a short-term cycle low has been set.
One sector gaining strength right now is the Retail sector. I covered the top 10 holdings in the Market Vectors Retail ETF (RTH) in the September 5th newsletter. Nearly every stock in that list looks ready for further gains. Most of them have moderately strong seasonal patterns (track records of gains this time of year) to back up any bullishly-oriented trade in these stocks. I'm just waiting for the right higher-probability setups to enter one or more of these trades.
Of course, there's much more you need to know and many more stocks you can capitalize upon each and every day. To find out more, please click on the following link: www.markettamer.com/seasonal
