Broadcom's most recent trend suggests a bullish bias. One trading opportunity on Broadcom is a Bull Put Spread using a strike $31.00 short put and a strike $26.00 long put offers a potential 7.07% return on risk over the next 9 calendar days. Maximum profit would be generated if the Bull Put Spread were to expire worthless, which would occur if the stock were above $31.00 by expiration. The full premium credit of $0.33 would be kept by the premium seller. The risk of $4.67 would be incurred if the stock dropped below the $26.00 long put strike price.
The 5-day moving average is moving up which suggests that the short-term momentum for Broadcom is bullish and the probability of a rise in share price is higher if the stock starts trending.
The 20-day moving average is moving up which suggests that the medium-term momentum for Broadcom is bullish.
The RSI indicator is at 65.94 level which suggests that the stock is neither overbought nor oversold at this time.

PR Newswire – IRVINE, Calif. and ESPOO, Finland, Feb. 11, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — Broadcom Corporation (BRCM), Nokia Solutions and Networks (NSN) and Finnish operator Elisa today announced the first ever demonstration of LTE Advanced (LTE-A) carrier aggregation Category 6 (Cat 6) data rates of 300 Mbps on a live commercial network in the Nordic Countries. The end-to-end test was completed on Elisa's commercial LTE network in Finland with Broadcom's LTE-A Cat 6 technology using inter-band carrier aggregation and NSN's Flexi Multiradio 10 Base Station. The test was performed by aggregating two 20 MHz channels in the 1800 MHz band (LTE Band 3) and the 2600 MHz band (LTE Band 7) to reach speeds of 300 Mbps. “LTE-A Category 6 is the number one priority for operators as they look to deploy the next speed enhancement to their networks,” said Robert Rango, Executive Vice President and General Manager, Mobile and Wireless Group, Broadcom.
