Chevron's most recent trend suggests a bullish bias. One trading opportunity on Chevron is a Bull Put Spread using a strike $125.00 short put and a strike $115.00 long put offers a potential 20.05% return on risk over the next 18 calendar days. Maximum profit would be generated if the Bull Put Spread were to expire worthless, which would occur if the stock were above $125.00 by expiration. The full premium credit of $1.67 would be kept by the premium seller. The risk of $8.33 would be incurred if the stock dropped below the $115.00 long put strike price.
The 5-day moving average is moving up which suggests that the short-term momentum for Chevron is bullish and the probability of a rise in share price is higher if the stock starts trending.
The 20-day moving average is moving up which suggests that the medium-term momentum for Chevron is bullish.
The RSI indicator is at 77.47 level which suggests that the stock is neither overbought nor oversold at this time.

Putin sees no need to sanction West, may review energy ties

Reuters – Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Tuesday that Moscow saw no need for counter sanctions against the West, but could reconsider the participation of Western companies in its economy, including energy projects. The United States on Monday unveiled a new round of sanctions aimed at business leaders and companies close to Putin, while the European Union followed up on Tuesday by naming 15 Russians and Ukrainians to its blacklist, moving to freeze assets and deny visas. “Regarding the second package, it's not clear at all what this is linked to, because there is no cause and effect link with what is happening now in Ukraine and Russia,” he said. Though some Western oil companies left Russia in recent years because of a difficult business climate, U.S. companies Exxon Mobil and Chevron Corp, along with British major BP, have significant ties there.
