In today's Seasonal Forecaster newsletter, I used Fibonacci analysis on several stocks to confirm recent rebounds.
Leonardo Fibonacci introduced Europe to the Hindu-Arabic system of numerals and place value. If he hadn't, we might be using calculators based on Roman Numerals today.
He is perhaps better known for the Fibonacci sequence, where each number is the sum of the two preceding numbers. The relationship of the numbers in the sequence to each other converges on what is called the Golden Ratio, or ‘Phi'.
There are countless books and websites devoted to how the Golden Ratio shows up all throughout nature. You'll find endless references to Nautilus Shells and body parts.
But I came across one site that I actually stopped and read with interest. Using the winner of Lorraine Cosmetics 2012 contest to find “Britain's Perfect Face”, they analyzed how many times the Golden Ratio was found in her facial features.
The article is at:

The YouTube video showing the facial analysis is at:

You decide if this is more interesting than reading about Fibonacci retracements in the stock market.
