Goldman Sachs's most recent trend suggests a bearish bias. One trading opportunity on Goldman Sachs is a Bear Call Spread using a strike $170.00 short call and a strike $180.00 long call offers a potential 22.4% return on risk over the next 10 calendar days. Maximum profit would be generated if the Bear Call Spread were to expire worthless, which would occur if the stock were below $170.00 by expiration. The full premium credit of $1.83 would be kept by the premium seller. The risk of $8.17 would be incurred if the stock rose above the $180.00 long call strike price.
The 5-day moving average is moving down which suggests that the short-term momentum for Goldman Sachs is bearish and the probability of a decline in share price is higher if the stock starts trending.
The 20-day moving average is moving down which suggests that the medium-term momentum for Goldman Sachs is bearish.
The RSI indicator is at 60.36 level which suggests that the stock is neither overbought nor oversold at this time.

U.S. judge clears Life Partners of fraud charge in SEC case
Wed, 12 Mar 2014 23:11:17 GMT
Reuters – A federal judge on Wednesday reversed a jury finding that Life Partners Holdings and its executives were liable on one count of fraud, dealing a blow to U.S. securities regulators. The Securities and Exchange Commission had sought to prove that Life Partners intentionally misled investors over nearly four years about core aspects of its “life-settlements” business and that its two top executives engaged in insider trading. In its verdict last month, an Austin, Texas-based jury in the federal court had cleared the company and its executives on eight of the 12 charges filed by the SEC, while finding Life Partners liable for fraud when it filed misleading statements about revenue recognition policies in two months in 2007. Defense attorneys for the company asked U.S. District Court Judge James Nowlin to consider tossing out the claim.
