Home Depot's most recent trend suggests a bullish bias. One trading opportunity on Home Depot is a Bull Put Spread using a strike $270.00 short put and a strike $265.00 long put offers a potential 28.21% return on risk over the next 8 calendar days. Maximum profit would be generated if the Bull Put Spread were to expire worthless, which would occur if the stock were above $270.00 by expiration. The full premium credit of $1.10 would be kept by the premium seller. The risk of $3.90 would be incurred if the stock dropped below the $265.00 long put strike price.
The 5-day moving average is moving up which suggests that the short-term momentum for Home Depot is bullish and the probability of a rise in share price is higher if the stock starts trending.
The 20-day moving average is moving up which suggests that the medium-term momentum for Home Depot is bullish.
The RSI indicator is at 73.89 level which suggests that the stock is neither overbought nor oversold at this time.

Analyzing Home Depot's Unusual Options Activity
Tue, 11 Aug 2020 14:32:28 +0000
Home Depot (NYSE: HD) shares experienced unusual options activity on Tuesday. The stock price moved up to $276.93 following the option alert. * Sentiment: NEUTRAL * Option Type: SWEEP * Trade Type: CALL * Expiration Date: 2021-01-15 * Strike Price: $300.00 * Volume: 974 * Open Interest: 20473 Ways Options Activity is 'Unusual'Extraordinarily large volume is one indication of unusual options activity. Volume refers to the total shares contracts traded in a day when discussing options activity. Open interest describes unsettled contracts that have been traded but not closed by a counter-party. In other words, for each contract buyer, there must be a seller. A purchased contract remains open until a seller closes it, and vice versa.Another gauge of unusual options activity is a contract with an expiration date in the distant future. Additional time until a contract expires generally increases the potential for it to grow its time value and reach its strike price. It is important to consider time value because it represents the difference between the strike price and the value of the underlying asset."Out of the money" contracts are unusual because they are purchased with a strike price far from the underlying asset price. "Out of the money" occurs when the underlying price is under the strike price on a call option, or above the strike price on a put option. Buyers and sellers try to take advantage of a large profit margin in these instances because they are expecting the value of the underlying asset to change dramatically in the future.Understanding Sentiment Options are "bullish" when a call is purchased at/near ask price or a put is sold at/near bid price. Options are "bearish" when a call is sold at/near bid price or a put is bought at/near ask price. These observations are made without knowing the investor's true intent by purchasing these options contracts. The activity is suggestive of these strategies, but an observer cannot be sure if a bettor is playing the contract outright or if the options bettor is hedging a large underlying position in common stock. For the latter case, bullish options activity may be less meaningful than the exposure a large investor has on their short position in common stock.Using These Options Strategies Unusual options activity is an advantageous strategy that may greatly reward an investor if they are highly skilled, but for the less experienced trader, it should remain as another tool to make an educated investment decision while taking other observations into account. For more information to understand options alerts, visit https://pro.benzinga.help/en/articles/1769505-how-do-i-understand-options-alertsSee more from Benzinga * Stocks That Hit 52-Week Highs On Friday * Morning Market Stats in 5 Minutes * Stocks That Hit 52-Week Highs On Thursday(C) 2020 Benzinga.com.
