IBM's most recent trend suggests a bearish bias. One trading opportunity on IBM is a Bear Call Spread using a strike $144.00 short call and a strike $149.00 long call offers a potential 11.61% return on risk over the next 7 calendar days. Maximum profit would be generated if the Bear Call Spread were to expire worthless, which would occur if the stock were below $144.00 by expiration. The full premium credit of $0.52 would be kept by the premium seller. The risk of $4.48 would be incurred if the stock rose above the $149.00 long call strike price.
The 5-day moving average is moving up which suggests that the short-term momentum for IBM is bullish and the probability of a rise in share price is higher if the stock starts trending.
The 20-day moving average is moving down which suggests that the medium-term momentum for IBM is bearish.
The RSI indicator is at 30.79 level which suggests that the stock is neither overbought nor oversold at this time.

Buybacks, Buffett Support Apple Stock: Bernstein

In a research report covered by Barron’s, Bernstein analyst Toni Sacconaghi said share buybacks during the first quarter represented roughly 6% of Apple’s daily trading volume. Add the stock purchases by Berkshire during the first three months of the year to the mix and that represented about 9% of Apple’s daily trading volume. Sacconaghi expects more Apple purchases by Buffett and said that with the new $100 billion share buyback plan by Apple, it will continue to account for a lot of the daily volume for the next 18 months.
