Nvidia's most recent trend suggests a bearish bias. One trading opportunity on Nvidia is a Bear Call Spread using a strike $167.50 short call and a strike $172.50 long call offers a potential 44.93% return on risk over the next 16 calendar days. Maximum profit would be generated if the Bear Call Spread were to expire worthless, which would occur if the stock were below $167.50 by expiration. The full premium credit of $1.55 would be kept by the premium seller. The risk of $3.45 would be incurred if the stock rose above the $172.50 long call strike price.
The 5-day moving average is moving down which suggests that the short-term momentum for Nvidia is bearish and the probability of a decline in share price is higher if the stock starts trending.
The 20-day moving average is moving down which suggests that the medium-term momentum for Nvidia is bearish.
The RSI indicator is at 59.8 level which suggests that the stock is neither overbought nor oversold at this time.

Wells Fargo chip analyst David Wong this evening reflects on a raft of announcements released yesterday by Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), on the occasion of the Siggraph annual computer graphics conference, that add more powerful products to the company’s portfolio for the video gaming field and workstation computers Wong, who rates AMD shares Outperform, sees the parts taking share from competitors Nvidia (NVDA) and Intel (INTC). In brief, AMD unveiled the details of a new “x86” microprocessor called the “Ryzen Threadripper,” with 8, 12 or 16 “CPU cores” per chip, designed to be its highest-performing desktop microprocessor. AMD also announced its “Radeon RX Vega,” a computer graphics card with a graphics processing unit, or “GPU,” which it claimed is “the most advanced consumer graphics card in the world.” AMD said the part represents “AMD's return to the enthusiast-class gaming segment.” The cards are promised to be available August 14th and are priced from $399 to $699, and come with a variety of bundled extras, including a discount on a Samsung monitor.
