The oil sector stocks have been selling off for months. But I've been watching the weakness in semiconductor stocks. I mentioned it in a blog posting back in July (Is This A Good Time For Semiconductor Stocks?) So I took the table from that article and updated it. Every stock has shown either a change to, or an increase of, distribution:
Semiconductor stocks have a reputation of leading bull markets. I don't know if a concerted selloff of semi stocks tends to lead bear markets, but I don't suggest holding a lot of semi stock/option positions to find out.
The daily chart of SMH shows no signs of an imminent turnaround.
Oil and Semiconductor stocks aren't the only ones showing increasing distribution. In the Seasonal Forecaster newsletter, I will likely be covering several short stock/bearish option trades over the next couple of weeks. Our first two, in the financial and transportation sectors and entered at the end of July, are already working out for us.
Of course, there's much more you need to know and many more stocks you can capitalize upon each and every day. To find out more, please click on the following link: www.markettamer.com/seasonal
