Oct 9 2018 - SPY Clinging To 50-day SMA

Despite finishing lower on the day, the S&P 500 ETF (SPY) was able to stay above its 50-day SMA again. If the SPY closes below the 50-day SMA, it would give the bears the upper edge from a technical perspective. The Dow ETF (DIA) did trade below its 20-day EMA but was able to regain it by day's end. DIA remains the strongest of the major indexes right now.
